The Love Dare
Too many marriages end when someone says “I’ve fallen out of love with you” or “I don’t love you anymore.” The Love Dare discusses how these statements reveal a lack of understanding about the fundamental nature of true love.
As featured in the popular new movie Fireproof, from the team that brought us the #1 best selling DVD Facing the Giants, The Love Dare is a 40-day guided devotional experience that will lead your heart back to truly loving your spouse while learning more about the design, nature, and source of true love. Each reading includes Scripture, a statement of principle, the day’s “dare,” and a journaling area and check box to chart progress.
Dare to take The Love Dare, and see your marriage change forever.

The LOVE DARE book is not your normal HOW TO have a better Marriage book. It is a work book that requires your loving action. It is practical and wise with information that has probably been told to you at some point in time but you have never put it all together. Reading the book and going through the daily “dares” made me think and ask God about all the hard questions about myself and my wife. I can honestly tell you that as I went through the daily chapters all my questions were answered. GOD IS AMAZING. This book was written for The Husband, The Wife and The Couple.
This is a MUST READ BOOK for anyone who wants a strong(er) marriage or is currently going through a rocky marriage or is holding on by a thread trying to avoid a divorce. It has definitely changed my life. I wish I had this book alongside my bible 17 years ago. It WILL CHANGE your life -I am not just saying it, I MEAN IT!
1 Star A deeply disconcerting book from a more disturbing movie…
The book, like the movie, is fine on the surface. If your marriage just seems “ok” and could use a “pick up”, this might be a good solution.
If your marriage is in dire trouble, like that displayed in the movie – this book is NOT ENOUGH. I didn’t see anything in here that told the reader to COMMUNICATE the desire to work on the marriage. That’s the FIRST thing you do when you want to work on a marriage is tell the other person your desire to fix it.
The biggest problem with this book – it’s a checklist. You can’t checklist LOVE. Aside from the Christian theme in the book, it seemed devoid of emotion. If I didn’t know it was written by a man, I could almost tell by reading it. There was no emotion. It was cold.
If you are trying to save your marriage, please seek counseling and communicate with your spouse that you want to work on it. Don’t hide that. Also, try to remember why you fell in love with this person in the first place. People change on the outside but their fundamentals don’t change. If you fell in love because of who they were and who they wanted to be, you can find that again.
If you married because the person with you wanted two kids, a house and a dog – and that’s pretty much all you had in common – then you need to seek out commonality to bind your relationship. If that commonality is church life, then great! You have to have something to build upon.
4 Stars Solidify your marriage and relationships with the Lord’s help!
Great book! Goes with the movie “Fireproof”! A word of caution though. This book is only useful if it’s put to use the way it was intended, remembering that is the Lord who should gain the credit for any miracles that come about in your relationship/s! This can not only apply between husband and wife, but between parent and child, and friend and friend.
5 Stars Simply Thoughtful
Yes, the little things do count…and we often blow things out of proportion with our own agendas…Be brave and Listen with an open heart and mind. thanks
5 Stars We Took the Dare
We made it through the whole book and wow, was it difficult. To be honest there were a few things we skipped because it was just too painful or too much outside of our comfort zone. I highly, highly recommend trying it over and over until you get it, or your spouse gets it. It took us three tries to fully engage. The movie, while it raked in millions, has the worst acting ever but I overlooked it due to it’s purpose. Rumor has it that all the actors go to Kirk Cameron’s church and worked for free. The biggest rumor that was confirmed was that Kirk Cameron kissed his wife only on the set, not the actress playing his wife. Good Luck! I’ve never known many to turn down a DARE!
